"Where children learn, grow,
and embrace their Jewish heritage with joy!"

Give your child the lifelong gift of a vibrant, joyful Jewish education. Our Sunday morning program brings history, moral values, and community connection to life using modern, exciting teaching tools.

Welcome to Our School

For over three decades, we have proudly provided high-quality Jewish education to public school and home-schooled students throughout our community. Families have found our program to be a rich, life-changing resource for instilling deep Jewish pride, timeless traditions, and core moral values.

Headed by Rabbi Adi and Malky Goodman, alongside the beloved Morah Elky, we cultivate a warm, nurturing environment where every individual thrives. Our commitment to excellence shows—our students' success rate goes way beyond the milestone of the Bar and Bat Mitzvah, laying down roots for a proud, lifelong connection to their heritage.

Our Program Inside Look

The Aleph Champ Reading System

Modeled after the martial arts motivational structure, kids pass testing tiers from White Belt to Black Belt as they master reading Hebrew letters, vowels, and prayers. They track their own progress and step up at their own comfortable speed.

Living Jewish History, traditions & Israel

We go far beyond standard text reading. Holidays are experienced actively through sensory workshops, theatrical mock-seders, shofar making, baking traditional treats, and engaging family programming. We also focus on teaching our students to connect deeply with their sense of belonging through prayer, traditions, Israel, and history. Through these experiences, our students naturally develop a strong background in keeping traditions alive, fostering a meaningful connection to their heritage.

Mitzvot & Moral Values

Every week, kids focus on kindness, respect, and community action (Tzedakah), helping them build a resilient ethical compass to guide them through everyday life.

The Ckids Hebrew School Graduate Profile

By graduation, our students step out into the wider world possessing:

  • Hebrew Reading: Our students will become skilled readers in Hebrew. They will easily pick up a text and read it with confidence. They will learn how reading works, including the vowels, letters, and their numerical values. This will help them connect with biblical stories and teachings while strengthening their Jewish heritage and cultural identity.
  • Proud Jewish Identity: Students develop a profound sense of Jewish pride, which strengthens their foundation for life and empowers them to stay true to their values without letting anyone stand in their way. We take immense pride in witnessing this generation of local students embrace their Jewish identities, lead meaningful lives, and raise beautiful families grounded in tradition and faith. Their commitment to their heritage inspires us all!
  • Core Knowledge: Our program aims to instill a comprehensive understanding of Jewish traditions and community life. Over the years, our students have developed a strong knowledge base that helps them feel comfortable and connected within the community.
Through lessons on prayers, holidays, and general information, our Hebrew school offers a well-rounded curriculum tailored to the needs of local Jewish children. Programs such as Super Jew, the Aleph Champ reading program, and our Israel curriculum provide students with a solid foundation in Jewish education. This approach ensures that they not only learn the basics but also grow to appreciate and engage with their heritage.
  • Community Spirit: Throughout the year, we recognize that for many of our students, Hebrew school is the foundation of their Jewish engagement. We go beyond just serving the students; we warmly welcome families and friends to join our Hebrew school community through various gatherings and events.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do classes take place?

Our Hebrew School runs on Sunday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, providing a concise, high-energy program that fits easily into busy family weekend routines.

Do we need to be synagogue members to join?

No! We have an open-door policy. All Jewish families are fully welcome regardless of prior affiliation, background, level of observance, or local structural synagogue membership.

We are not Orthodox. Will we feel comfortable?

Yes, absolutely! We do not care about labels—every Jew is a Jew, and we are all simply trying our best to fulfill our potential. Our school is designed mainly for children from families that are not observant, and we work hard to instill in them a deep sense of warmth and belonging that transcends any label.

Do you accept children with a non-Jewish father?

Absolutely. All Jewish children are unconditionally accepted and welcome at our school, regardless of family background, structural affiliation, or level of home practice.

Do you accept conversions?

Yes. We welcome families with Orthodox conversions approved by the Chief Rabbinical Courts of Israel, as well as families who are currently in the active conversion process and hold an official letter of recommendation from an approved local Beth Din (rabbinical court).

Are classes divided by grade or by level?

Our classrooms are currently divided into peer groups based on age. However, our Hebrew reading curriculum (The Aleph Champ System) is entirely level-based, allowing each student to track and advance at their own comfortable speed.

Do you teach the Hebrew language?

When learning the Aleph-Bet letters, we make sure to incorporate as much spoken vocabulary and language connection as possible. However, because our weekly Sunday session time is limited, conversational language fluency is not our primary focus; our emphasis rests on reading fluency, heritage, and prayer familiarity.

What educational steps follow the 5th Grade?

Our specialized Bar and Bat Mitzvah programs are explicitly designed to zero in directly on the changing needs of students entering this foundational age. Students in 6th and 7th Grade move into their own dedicated programmatic framework, allowing us to cater to their specific milestones and guide them joyfully right to the finish line.

Where are classes located?

Classes are held locally in our warm Cooper City/Davie area school setups. Please reach out to our office coordinators for complete drop-off direction coordinates and current security building access info.

What ages is the school designed for?

Our core weekly CKids Hebrew School is specially designed for children tracking from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We also run dedicated clubs for Bar/Bat Mitzvah prep and high school teens (CTeen).
