Chabad at Monterra

Our Mission

At Chabad at Monterra, we believe a home is a feeling—
a space overflowing with warmth, purpose, and genuine connection.
Inspired by the loving ways and unwavering dedication of The Lubavitcher Rebbe נ''ע,

"Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community where everyone feels seen, cherished, and unconditionally loved, experiencing the profound sense of belonging that only a true spiritual home can provide."

With heart, joy, and relevance, we teach Torah and practice our traditions, ensuring they resonate in every person, every moment, and every action.

The History of Chabad at Monterra

What began as a single Shabbat dinner in a Monterra living room has evolved into a cornerstone of Jewish life in Cooper City. Chabad at Monterra was founded with a singular vision: to ensure that no Jew is left behind and that every family has a place where they are welcomed without reservation.

As word spread of the warmth and joy found within our community, our "living room" quickly began to overflow. We moved from private homes to community spaces, and most recently, in response to our rapid growth, we established our current headquarters at the David Posnack JCC.

This journey has been fueled entirely by the people—the families who have joined us for a Bar Mitzvah, the children who have discovered their heritage in Hebrew School, and the seniors who have found new connection.
